Automotive Production and Development Programme

The Automotive Production and Development Programme (APDP) is a production incentive scheme aimed at promoting production volumes, promoting added value in the automotive component industry to create employment across the automotive value chain.

The APDP consists of rebates and refunds of the specific customs duties. In some cases, companies wishing to relocate to TASEZ are able to get up to 60% in benefits in order to become more competitive and up their production figures. The APDP provides support in the form of a Volume Assembly Localisation Allowance and a Production Incentive.

To be eligible for the rebates and refunds, manufacturers must be registered taxpayers and be BEE compliant.
